On April 30, 2017 Cabaret at The Merc will delve into the treasure trove of songs written by Musical Theatre Songwriting Teams, both well known and up and coming. You are sure to hear songs you love and songs you will love. It is sure to be an eclectic night of musical stylings as each of these teams have their own unique sound that put them on the map.

JAKE BRADFORD After performing in the 2016 Rising Stars Cabaret and hosting the 2017 Rising Stars Cabaret, Jake is excited to be back at the Merc. Regional: West Side Story (Baby John – Lamb’s Players Theatre), Peter and the Starcatcher (Teddy – The Barn Stage Company), The 1940’s Radio Hour (Wally – New Village Arts). Educational: Curtains (Lieutenant Frank Cioffi – Rancho Buena Vista High School), Thoroughly Modern Millie (Jimmy – Moonlight Youth Theatre). Jake was a finalist in the 2016 Ben Vereen Awards for his performance as Horton in Seussical! and will be attending UC, San Diego in the fall as a Theatre Arts major. We Will Soar On Wings Like Eagles.
ELIZABETH BRACKENBURY is thrilled to be back in Temecula after performing as Svetlana in Chess with The Barn Stage Company. Best known for her musical comedy she is equally at home in pop, rock, and jazz. She studied at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco before heading to Los Angeles where she received her BA from the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music and School of Theatre. She was recently seen as Louise in La Jolla Playhouse’s workshop of The John Birch Society and as Kelly in Romy & Michele’s High School Reunion, both directed by Christopher Ashley. Brackenbury has performed numerous times at the Hollywood Bowl in such shows as Showboat, The Music Man, and Mame, including singing with Roger Daltrey of The Who for his induction into the Hall of Fame. She has also performed leading roles in LA Opera’s The Merry Widow (Olga); Pasadena Playhouse’s Vanities, A New Musical (Joanne), directed by Judith Ivey; Reprise!’s Sunday in the Park with George (Celeste #1/Elaine), directed by Jason Alexander; ICT’s west coast premiere of A Year With Frog and Toad (Turtle); Theatre Works’ Peter Pan; and the pre-Broadway run of Rock of Ages.
ZACK ZUMBEK is thrilled to be joining the Cabaret at the Merc: It Takes Two! You may recognize him from past Barn Stage Company productions of the musicals Spring Awakening (Hanschen) and Next to Normal (Gabe Goodman). Recent credits include The Little Mermaid (Prince Eric) and Brigadoon (Charlie Dalrymple). Zack holds a BM in Music Theater from Oklahoma City University, and spent a year working in Character Entertainment/Parades at the Disneyland/California Adventure Resort. RACHEL PFEIFER GREEN had the honor of both directing and performing in the onstage choir for The Barn Stage Company’s production of Chess: In Concert last September, and is thrilled to sing in her first Cabaret at the Merc performance. Acting credits include: Mary Poppins (Mrs. Brill), Little Women (Marmee), Ragtime (Mother), A Little Night Music (Charlotte Malcolm), 1776 (Abigail Adams), Guys and Dolls (Miss Adelaide), Company (Sarah.) Musical direction credits include: Cats, Once Upon A Mattress, Fiddler on the Roof, Little Women, Guys and Dolls, Into the Woods, The Fantasticks, and Annie. BA from Brigham Young University and MM in vocal performance from CSU Long Beach. She has been a voice faculty at Cal State Fullerton and for McCoy Rigby Conservatory of the Arts. Love to her leading man in life Jason, and their two best productions, Madeleine and Harrison.
JOSHUA DAVID CAVANAUGH is thrilled to be back in his hometown currently playing Aaron in First Date with SDMT in downtown San Diego. He now lives and works in New York City. Regional Theatre Credits include: Leonard Aster – Peter and the Starcatcher (The Barn Stage Company), Priest – Light in the Piazza (FLMTF), Ensemble – Sweeney Todd (FLMTF), Francis – Forever Plaid (Moonlight), Chad – The Untitled John Mayer Project (The Merc), Dracula – Dracula (The Dio). He was in the National/International tour of In The Mood. He was also in the San Diego Opera Chorus of Aida. Joshua holds a BM in Vocal Performance from Chapman University and an MM in Vocal Performance from NYU.
